#RainbowSnippets: Jack and Marjory
Happy Saturday! Here’s my #rainbow snippets post for this week – 6 lines of LGBTQIA+ fiction. You can join the fun and read all the other fabulous snippets at the official facebook group here 🙂
So many apologies for last week – apparently my own post didn’t show up properly for a long time and even when it did I’d messed up my links, also my browser wouldn’t let me like or comment properly on other websites… 😦 ‘sigh’ – obviously the techno-gremlins were having a field day! Hopefully this week will be better (I’ve changed browsers now and have my brain fully engaged so … tentacles crossed!)
Still posting from Jack and Marjory. If you missed last weeks’ snippet or want to catch up from the beginning here’s the link:

Jack and Marjory have just agreed to help the leader of the revolution smuggle a dodgy teaset into Lancaster and help save the world (and the lemonade) from the evil machinations of tyranical Tea-Time Lords … but first things first, never embark on a mission to save lemonade without being properly attired… so they are now at their tailor’s attempting to spend their payoff before they’ve actually earned it – as one does…
“Not yet,”
She finishes writing down the order, “That’s a lot of fine dresses. Who’s the lucky lass eh?”
“They’re … for my sister, Marjory.”
“Right,” her lips twist into a little half smile, “am I ever gonna meet this sister o’yours then? Seein’ as I’m makin’ a wardrobe for her…” she might as well have said, “seeing as how we’re getting married now,” that’s the way she framed it.
being an entertaining and informative piece of travel writing by a couple of rogues on the run as they attempt to avoid the machinations of wizards, monarchs and a ruthless band of beatnik poets, deflect a civil war and deliver a priceless, historical tea set before the owner finds himself at the gallows.
Wishing you all a most splendiferous week and don’t forget to check in at the #rainbowsnippets facebook group for more fabulous snippets of LGBTQIA+ fiction 🙂

She may not be too happy to hear it … 😉

I do hope they have an answer prepared.

Preparation and foresight unfortunately aren’t really their strong points! … hence them being at their tailor’s rather than planning the fine points of their imminent smuggling endeavor… lol.

Thanks! 🙂 She really thinks she’s ‘in there’ with Jack, and they really don’t want to rub her up the wrong way…

I like these two. They and their impulsiveness are really growing on me.

Thankyou! It often gets them into trouble, but then it often gets them out again as well 😉

I like the banter and I hope the answer to her question doesn’t unsettle her.

Wonder what his answer to that is going to be.
